    Economist/Statistician/Research Officer I(6 Posts)

    Requirements

    • The job holder will be responsible for supporting development and reviewing of data collection tools, and undertake data collection, collation and analysis.

    Reporting Responsibilities

    • The job holder will be responsible to Senior Planning and Research Officer.

    For appointment to this grade, the applicant must have: -

    • A bachelor’s degree in economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Social Sciences, Public
    • Policy Administration Project Management, or any other equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;
    • Proficiency in computer application;
    • A management course or its equivalent
    • Meet the requirements of Chapter Six (6) of the Constitution.

    Experience:

    • Minimum three (3) years relevant work-experience with at least one (1) year at Supervisory Level.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Assisting in the development and review of caseload data collection tools; protocols, and procedures;
    • Undertaking data collection, collation, and analysis of court statistics, Projects, programs, and policies;
    • Cleaning Courts’ caseload data for quality checks, completeness, and consistency;
    • Compiling periodic caseload statistics reports and briefs on courts;
    • Maintaining and updating Courts caseload database;
    • Assisting in conducting research on topical issues;
    • Undertaking capacity building on caseload data collection and analysis;
    • Undertaking feasibility studies, surveys and research on emerging issues, and best practices in caseload statistics management;
    • Supporting development and review of monitoring and evaluation tools; systems and procedures;
    • Compiling monitoring and evaluation reports for Projects, programmes, and policies of implementing units;
    • Preparing of quarterly and annual caseload, projects, programmes, and policy reports;
    • Ensuring safe custody of Projects, programmes, policies, statistics, records, documents, and published reports; and
    • Supervising, mentoring, and coaching staff
