About the Role

• We are looking for a responsible and experienced Exhauster Driver to operate and maintain the Company's exhauster truck safely and efficiently. The successful candidate will be responsible for the collection, transportation, and disposal of wastewater, sewage, sludge, and other liquid waste in accordance with Company procedures, environmental requirements, and applicable regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate the Company's exhauster truck to designated collection and disposal locations.
• Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle and exhauster equipment.
• Operate the vacuum/exhauster pump and associated equipment safely and efficiently.
• Collect and transport sewage, wastewater, sludge, and other approved liquid waste.
• Ensure proper connection and disconnection of suction hoses during loading and discharge.
• Monitor the vacuum system, tank levels, pressure, hoses, valves, pumps, and other equipment during operations.
• Ensure waste is discharged only at authorised disposal facilities or designated locations.
• Maintain accurate records of waste collection, disposal locations, trips, quantities, and customer/service details.
• Complete delivery notes, work tickets, inspection checklists, and other required documentation.
• Follow assigned routes and schedules and ensure timely completion of jobs.
• Report vehicle defects, equipment breakdowns, leaks, accidents, or other operational issues immediately to the supervisor.
• Carry out basic checks and routine maintenance of the vehicle and exhauster equipment.
• Ensure the exhauster truck is kept clean and in good working condition.
• Observe all occupational health, safety, hygiene, and environmental requirements when handling sewage and wastewater.
• Wear and properly use all required personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Maintain professional conduct when interacting with customers, site personnel, and members of the public.
• Ensure that no unauthorised disposal, spillage, or discharge occurs during operations.
• Support loading, offloading, and other related duties where required.
• Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications & Experience

• KCSE or equivalent.
• Valid Kenyan driving licence with the appropriate heavy commercial vehicle category.
• Valid Certificate of Good Conduct will be an advantage.
• Minimum 2–3 years of proven experience driving heavy commercial vehicles, preferably an exhauster, vacuum tanker, water tanker, sewage tanker, or similar specialised vehicle.
• Previous experience operating an exhauster truck and vacuum pumping equipment is strongly preferred.
• Basic understanding of vehicle and exhauster equipment maintenance.
• Good knowledge of Kenyan roads and routes.
• Ability to complete vehicle and trip documentation accurately.
• Experience working in a factory, industrial, construction, property management, waste management, or similar environment is an advantage.
