About the role:

Roam is seeking a skilled software developer to join our software build team. You will play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality software solutions. You will have the opportunity to work on challenging projects, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and contribute to the success of the team.

Key Duties and responsibilities

• Lead the development of complex software solutions from conception to delivery.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements.
• Design and implement scalable and maintainable software architectures.
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code.
• Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
• Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of our development processes, including adherence to Agile methodologies

Qualifications and experience

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Proven experience in SDLC and a background in development for web, cross platform mobile apps, cloud computing, and/or DevOps is a plus.
• Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as JavaScript, Python, C++, or Rust, as well as development stacks like MERN or T3, and experience with databases such as MongoDB and MySQL.
• Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
• Familiarity with software development tools, version control systems (e.g., Git), and best practices.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with a commitment to using common collaboration tools like Slack, Jira/ClickUp, and Liveshare
• Ability to work independently and in a collaborative team environment.
• Adaptability and interest to learn and stay updated with new technologies.
• Experience with web development, mobile app development, or cloud computing.
