    Factory Finance Intern

    Position Summary

    Nestlé has over 308 000 employees worldwide. More than being the world’s number one food and beverage brand, we’ve successfully launched, and sustained, hundreds of thousands of careers. We’re now looking for a Finance Intern to join the Nairobi Factory.

    In this role you will ensure that all finances are properly administered in accordance with financial regulations and internal policies and be responsible for proper financial record keeping and administration.

    A day in the life of a Finance Intern

    • Coordinate reporting of actual costs and preparing for period-end close (PEC): preparation of input data such as labour hours and ensuring that the Costing Standards for Manufacturing (CSM) are followed.
    • Active participation in NCE Operational Review meetings (i.e., DOR, WOR) and provide costing/variance information for measures as well as decision-useful information such as loss tree analysis and opportunity mapping.
    • Participate in business planning: assist the Factory in preparing the inputs for the Budgets (SCB/ACE) and Dynamic Forecast (DF) including the challenge of assumptions, working with factory management and staff to gather information, assist with preparation of presentation and sign off with management.
    • Provide administrative support to ensure effective and efficient office operations.
    • Maintenance of data integrity for SAP

    What Will Make You Successful

    • Bachelor of Commerce (Finance/Accounting)
    • At least 1-year relevant experience in Finance & Accounting. Manufacturing accounting is an added advantage.
    • Great sense of confidentiality
    • Ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines
    • Good organizational and prioritizing skills
