Techminds Technologies Limited is seeking a full-time, on-site Fiber Technician Supervisor in Nairobi County, Kenya. The Fiber Technician Supervisor will oversee a team of technicians, coordinating the installation, maintenance, and repair of fiber optic networks. The role requires ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget while providing technical guidance and support to the team.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in fiber optic network installation, maintenance, and repair.
• KPLC certification Class 14, 15, 16, or 17 is highly desirable and demonstrates a strong understanding of industry standards.
• Strong technical knowledge of fiber optic technology, equipment, and standards.
• Understanding of fiber installation processes and best practices.
• Experience in managing and supervising a team of technicians.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities.
• Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Valid driver's license.

Basic Function:

Field supervisors are responsible for implementing projects and managing ground resources, including teams and materials.

Qualifications:

• Degree/diploma in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of supervisory and management experience in the telecommunications industry.
• Knowledge and understanding of telecommunications networks.
• Ability to understand, manage, and deliver KPIs.
• Ability to lead, motivate, and manage field teams.
• Ability to contribute technical knowledge to proposals and reports.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Innovative, creative, and proactive with a solution-oriented approach.
• Flexibility in line with business requirements.
• Ability to represent the company professionally at all times.
• Full, clean driving license.
