Finance Manager at The Ark Junior Company Limited

We are looking for a Finance Manager to head the finance and accounting function for a small group of companies based in Nairobi. This position will report to the Managing Director.  A holder of a Bachelor of Commerce with a CPA(K) qualification and should have at least 5 years’ relevant experience having spent 2 years in an Audit role. Male candidates are encouraged to apply for gender balance and should be aged between 35 – 45 years.

This position’s key roles include:-

• Prepares the weekly, monthly and annual reports with relevant analysis
• Provides explanations and business solutions to help mitigate the risks.
• Analyse financial performance against key business metrics and documents
• pertinent financial highlights that will enable management to
• determine progress against budgets.
• Processes all statutory deductions in a timely manner.
• Supervises and participates in the preparation of various financial
• statements and reports.
• Prepares accounting records to show receipts and expenditures.
• Directs the maintenance of general and subsidiary ledgers, accounts
• receivable, depreciation, cost, property, and operating expenses, and insurance records.
• Prepares statements and reports of estimated future costs and revenues.
• Directs internal audits involving review of accounting and administrative controls.
• Establishes system controls for new financial systems and develops
• procedures to improve existing systems.
• Makes preparation for external audit materials and external financial reporting.
• Reviews financial statements with the Managing Director.
• Directs the installation and maintenance of new accounting, timekeeping, payroll, inventory, property, and other related procedures and controls.
• Perform all other duties as assigned and required.

The candidate should have experience supervising up to 5 staff and be well versed in Group and intercompany accounting. 

The salary on offer ranges between Ksh 85,000 and Ksh 120,000 based on requisite experience. 

A high proficiency in the use of Navision or Business Central will be an added advantage.

This is an urgent hire with a starting date of 1st April 2024.
