Finance Assistant - Maternity Reliever at Secours Islamique France (SIF)

Job Description

The duties and responsibilities of the position include but not limited to

Cash management

• Manage the daily cash handling of the SIF office, including payments of suppliers, dispensing cash to staff and weekly and monthly cash counts.
• Monitor cash balance based on forecast needs as provided by Finance Officer.
• Handling cash using Payment Disbursement Form and Cash advance and ensure all accounting procedures are carefully followed.
• Weekly and monthly cash counts
• Recording of financial expenses on the cash and bank book.

Finance Management

• File all financial documents according to procedure
• Ensure expenses are properly coded as per budget I the support documents, cashbook and Bank book.
• Scanning of PVs, Vouchers, IRVs, advance forms, receipts, and other documentation during end month process

Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelor degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics
• CPA 2 is an added advantage
• A minimum of 2 years’ experience in similar position.
• Proficiency in accounting and bookkeeping procedures
• Strong command of Microsoft Office (creating spreadsheets and using financial functions)
• Familiarity with accounting software (e.g. SAGA) is preferred.
• Organizational and time-management skills
• Attention to detail, with an ability to spot numerical errors
