    Financial Review Specialist

    Detailed Description

    Reporting to the Senior Manager, Group Reporting, the position holder will be responsible for preparing monthly and quarterly variance analysis reports, investigating key business drivers for variances, providing analytical insight, monitoring and reviewing annual and semiannual financial statements,preparing Board Audit committee financial packs, monthly Balance sheet review packs and ensure detailed analytical review of the financial statements (Balance sheet, income statement & cash flow statement) for all subsidiaries.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Interpret and communicate underlying messages within statutory financial statements.
    • Embed financial reporting dashboards to enable effective review of financials and underlying controls.
    • Provide commentaries on statutory numbers for external reporting by the investor relations.
    • Preparation of quarterly board audit committee performance review packs.
    • Explain and interpret financial data for internal customers.
    • Preparation of monthly Balance sheet review pack.
    • Reconciliation and validation of revenues between GL and BI & revenue assurance.
    • Analyze proposed transactions to determine the potential impact on financial statements.
    • Monthly financial review commentary on month-on-month performance, variance to forecast.
    • Monthly analytical review of revenue, costs and Balance sheet for all legal entities.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Qualified Accountant with Honors Degree from a recognized university. 
    • 5 years accounting experience in a well-run company, 3 years at a supervisory level.
    • Highly computer literate.
    • Ability to work without supervision.
    • Drive for results.
