French and Music Teacher at Nairobi Waldorf School

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver high-quality French and Music lessons in line with the School curriculum and Waldorf pedagogical principles.
• Participate in the planning, review and continuous improvement of the French and Music curricula.
• Prepare learners for concerts, performances, festivals, assemblies and other School events.
• Develop age-appropriate lesson plans, learning activities and teaching resources.
• Develop, organise and maintain suitable teaching materials and resources.
• Record learner participation, development and achievement in both French and Music. Prepare assessment summaries and learner reports within agreed timelines.
• Engage in continuous professional development, particularly in Waldorf Education, language teaching and music education.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Education or another relevant teaching qualification from a recognised institution.
• Valid Teachers Service Commission registration.
• At least three years of relevant teaching experience.
• Demonstrated ability to teach both French and Music.
• Ability to teach instruments such as piano, violin, recorder, cello or other string instruments.
