Position Purpose
- The FutureKind Strategic Catalyst will help discover, shape, communicate, and mobilize the ideas that will define the future of displacement. Working alongside customers, design teams, country teams, philanthropists, governments, and creative partners, the Catalyst will transform promising ideas into compelling initiatives that attract partners, funding, and momentum for Alight’s FutureKind portfolio.
- The FutureKind Strategic Catalyst is accountable for growing awareness, belief, and support for FutureKind through idea discovering, narrative shaping, and mobilization. They will originate opportunities, cultivate relationships, develop partnerships, and help convert those opportunities into funding or other strategic outcomes
- This position works closely with the Office of the Customer FutureKind strategy team and cross-functionally with the Marketing & Engagement fundraising team.
Job Duties
Opportunity Discovery & Idea Generation – 30%
Identify emerging needs, uncover opportunities, and generate new ideas through engagement and collaboration.
- Facilitate co-creation workshops.
- Listen deeply to customers, host communities, governments, and partners to identify emerging needs and opportunities.
Contribute to Narrative Development & Thought Leadership – 30%
Help shape ideas into compelling stories, concepts, and opportunities that inspire action and investment.
- Under the leadership of the Director, FutureKind Strategy, support building narrative and thought leadership, spreading the FutureKind POV far, near and wide
- Turn complex ideas and insights into compelling concepts, presentations, proposals, and funding opportunities.
- Tell stories that inspire action, from refugee settlements to boardrooms, stages, and dinner tables.
Partnership Building, Movement Mobilization & Learning – 40%
Mobilize people, resources, and evidence to advance ideas and build lasting impact.
- Scout opportunities and build ecosystems - finding meaningful ways to convene and develop relationships with others across philanthropy, government, business, academia, design, technology, and media.
- Originate, cultivate, and act as the key relationship-holder ofcatalytic philanthropic relationships and strategic partners for FutureKind
- Design and host convenings that build community and attract new collaborators.
- Represent Alight and FutureKind with external audiences
- Help build a global movement around FutureKind.
- Capture learning across the portfolio and strengthen FutureKind's evidence and impact.

Qualifications
Required Education & Experience
- 7+ years of experience identifying opportunities, cultivating relationships and turning ideas into partnerships or funding outcomes; experience in social impact, CBOs, for-profit for-good spaces, or related preferred.
- Track record of successfully identifying opportunities, cultivating relationships, and converting ideas into tangible partnerships or funding outcomes.
- Experience successfully cultivating and growing relationships with donors, partners, and senior leaders
- Proven experience and ability facilitating workshops, leading meetings, conducting customer or community interivews.
- Success creating proposals, fundraising materials, business cases, strategic communications, or thought leadership content that influence decision-making, secure resources, or strengthen stakeholder engagement.

- Adept at listening deeply, exploring with curiosity, ability connect ideas and help foster individual and organizational learning
- Ability to establish, nurture, and expand relationships across sectors, communities, and professional networks.
- Skilled at designing and leading collaborative discussions, workshops, and stakeholder engagement processes that generate ideas and align diverse perspectives.
- Ability to craft compelling narratives and tailor messages for varied audiences, including donors, partners, customers, community members, and senior executives.
