Global Sourcing Manager at Save the Children

ROLE PURPOSE: 

The Global Sourcing Manager is part of the Global Strategic Sourcing team in the Centre Procurement function for Save the Children International. The combined function is responsible for the strategy and approach to sourcing for circa $500m of Goods and Services across 61 countries. Spend Categories include External Workforce, Construction, Cash Transfer, Supply Chain (Fleet, Freight, Warehousing), Travel, Education, WASH and others.

The team is responsible for;

• Ensuring the right global supply solution are in place spend transacted globally
• Ensuring the right strategies, approaches and support are in place for country teams to procure within their countries
• Ensuring that the tools, templates, training, processes and policies are designed to deliver maximum value for money.

The Global Strategic Sourcing team is part of a wider Supply Chain transformation happening at the Save the Children International.

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

• A strong background in category management at a regional or global level
• Experience in, or a strong demonstrable desire to work in, the International Development/iNGO sector
• Knowledge/understanding/experience within SCI core categories of spend.
• Excellent influencing, interpersonal and analytic skills.
• French, Arabic or Spanish language skills are not mandatory, but are desirable.
