    Grant Researchers

    Role Purpose & Impact

    • As a Grant Researcher for the KYPW Grant Team, you serve as the intelligence hub for our resource mobilization efforts. You will systematically scan donor databases, map foundation priorities in climate adaptation and SDG 6, evaluate eligibility criteria, and produce structured research briefs for our Grant Writers and executive leadership.

    What You Will Do

    • Scan philanthropic foundation databases, climate funds (GCF, GEF), bilateral aid calls, and corporate CSR programs.
    • Analyze grant guidelines, thematic priorities, eligibility thresholds, and submission deadlines.
    • Maintain the centralized KYPW Grant Pipeline Database with up-to-date opportunity tracking.
    • Synthesize donor intelligence into actionable briefing documents for Grant Writers.
    • Participate in weekly team syncs to align research insights with upcoming submission windows.

    Qualifications & Expectations

    • Demonstrated interest or experience in desk research, development policy, environmental science, or economics.
    • Familiarity with SDG 6 (Clean Water & Sanitation) and youth-led non-profit governance.
    • Strong analytical mindset with high attention to detail.
    • Excellent written English communication skills (working knowledge of Swahili is a plus).
    • Reliable internet connectivity and commitment of 5–8 hours per week.

    Nice to Have

    • Experience with donor tracking portals (Devex, FundsforNGOs, Grants.gov).
    • Basic understanding of project logical frameworks (LogFrames).
