Biz Mkononi is seeking a Grant Writer to join us in our mission to provide decision making tools, solutions and analytics to the small and medium enterprises in Kenya and the Rest of the Continent. In this role, you will play a crucial part in securing the funding needed to support our impactful programs and initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:     

• Researching and identifying grant opportunities.
• Writing compelling grant proposals and applications.
• Cultivating relationships with funders and donors.
• Collaborating with team members to develop fundraising strategies.

Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you should have:

• Proven experience as a grant writer or similar role.
• Strong writing and communication skills.
• Excellent research and analytical abilities.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Passion for our organization's mission and values Requirements and skills.
• Proficient with measuring and reaching income goals.
• Great with MS Office Word and Excel.
• Excellent knowledge of fundraising information sources.
• Exceptional organizational and writing skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in creative writing or related field.
