Job Summary

The Gynecological Oncologist job exists to coordinate and provide specialized Gynecological Oncology services, research, and training in the hospital.

• Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery from a recognized institution.
• Master of Medicine in Obstetrics and Gynecology from a recognized institution.
• Fellowship in gynecological oncology from a recognized institution.
• Experience in laparoscopic gynecologic oncology.
• Registration with the Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Council.
• Valid Practice License.
• Professional Insurance Indemnity Cover.
• Recognition as a specialist by the KMPDC.
• Proficiency in computer applications.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the planning for gynecological oncology services and resources required.
• Act as contact person for the gynecologic oncology unit and its referral services, research and training matters.
• Coordinate and provide gynecological oncology services in the oncology unit of the hospital ensuring that the services meet international standards.
• Actively participate in the research and academic services related to gynecological oncology.
• Offer specialized gynecological oncology services advice to the hospital executive and other sections/units within the hospital.
• Work with other medical specialties to solve single or multiple gynecological issues when called upon.
• Any other duties that may be assigned by the Head of the Department.
