    Head of Corporate Engagement– The Role

    This is a unique opportunity to take on a global role leading and championing our mission to the corporate sector within the global programme department of a major international animal charity.

    Working closely with the Programme Directors, Heads of Campaign and virtual campaign teams you will play a pivotal role in the design and delivery of corporate influencing and engagement activity across the programme portfolio to increase the impact World Animal Protection can achieve for animals.

    In this leadership role, you will manage a team of skilled professionals, who work flexibly through global virtual teams, to develop and deliver our strategic global campaigns and associated programme work. We will look to you to lead the development of innovative, inspiring and impactful corporate engagement approaches. We need you to ensure outputs able to persuade corporate stakeholders to change their business practices and support our cause.

    You will also act as a senior spokesperson and relationship manager with external contacts and partners. Important too, will be the ability to provide guidance and coaching to ensure that capacity and capability is strengthened within global virtual campaign teams.

    Head of Corporate Engagement – Requirements

    • Proven experience in leading the design and development of high impact (preferably global) corporate engagement and influencing strategies.
    • Good understanding of the operating environment of the private sector and corporates within it.
    • You will be effective at motivating and developing teams and inspiring them to produce amazing work. Your people skills will extend to building strong relationships with external stakeholders and other key players.
    • Expert in the operational and tactical delivery of (preferably global) campaigns to a high standard, with evidence of strategic goal achievement.
    • Excellent project and budget manager.
    • Experience of working effectively with colleagues and external stakeholders in different countries and different cultural contexts.
    • An excellent communicator you will possess first class analytical and decision-making skills.
    • Knowledge of animal welfare or conservation and environmental issues would be an advantage.
