Head of Quality Assurance at Vivo Fashion Group

Job Purpose

• The Head of Quality Assurance will spearhead establishing and implementing quality assurance standards and processes for Vivo Fashion Group. This role encompasses overseeing garment quality from production to final delivery, the quality of fabric printing, and comprehensive fabric quality inspection. The individual will be instrumental in developing processes, setting quality benchmarks, and building a robust team to ensure that all Vivo Fashion Group's products meet the highest quality and customer satisfaction standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Quality Standards Development: Develop and implement quality assurance standards and systems for garment and fabric quality, including setting benchmarks for fabric printing.
• Process Establishment: Design and establish quality inspection and assurance processes,ensuring alignment with international quality standards.
• Team Building: Recruit, train, and lead a team of quality assurance professionals, fostering a culture of quality, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
• Vendor Quality Management: Collaborate with fabric suppliers and manufacturers to establish quality requirements and conduct audits to ensure compliance.
• Quality Data Analysis: Monitor and analyse quality data to identify trends, issues, and opportunities for quality improvement.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with the design, production, and supply chain teams to integrate quality assurance processes and address quality-related issues promptly.
• Continuous Improvement: Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality, reduce defects, and improve customer satisfaction.
• Risk Management: Identify potential quality risks in the production process and develop strategies to mitigate these risks.
• Innovation and Research: Stay updated with the latest quality control technologies, methodologies, and industry best practices to keep Vivo at the forefront of quality assurance.

Key Skills

• Quality Management Systems: Extensive knowledge of and certification in quality management systems such as ISO 9001, Six Sigma, or Total Quality Management (TQM).
• Textile and Garment Manufacturing: Deep understanding of textile fibres, fabrics, weaving,knitting,dyeing, and finishing processes. Knowledge of garment construction techniques and the ability to identify and solve quality issues related to these processes.
• Fabric Printing Techniques: Expertise in different fabric printing techniques, including digital, screen, and transfer printing, and the quality standards specific to each method.
• Analytical Skills: Analyzing quality data, identifying trends, and implementing corrective actions.

Qualifications & Experience

• A Bachelor’s degree in Textile Engineering, Quality Management, Fashion Technology, or a related field.
• A minimum of 10 years of experience in quality assurance or quality control, with at least 5 years in a leadership role, preferably within the fashion industry or a related sector.
• Proven track record of developing and implementing quality assurance processes, systems, and teams.
• Experience in international business and dealing with global supply chains is highly desirable, given the global nature of the fashion industry.
