Planning, organizing and coordination of the Academic programmes in the faculty of Clinical Health Sciences to ensure continuity, quality and compliance to set standards
Plan and allocate faculty workload and supervise faculty to ensure curricula coverage in the department of Clinical Heath Sciences is met within set timelines.
Evaluate faculty in the classroom and clinical areas to monitor quality of instruction.
Collate training plans and oversee timetabling and ensure seamless coordination of the of Master rotation plans and development of relevant training tools for different programmes.
Providing academic tutorials/instruction/teaching to the students.
Coordinate clinical placement and teaching including management of MOUs
Lead the faculty in curriculum development and review in the department of clinical health sciences
Contribute to policy and process formulation and implement processes and procedures for Clinical Health Sciences and as per regulatory requirements. (including student grievance and disciplinary processes and procedures)
Contribute to budget preparation for the Clinical Health Sciences academic programmes and implement of the approved budget including preparing requests and approving purchases for the department in line with the procurement processes
Ensure accreditation and licensing for new and existing programs in the department of CHS
Ensure that students meet requirement for academic progression and graduation.
In liaison with the Examinations Officer, ensure the implementation of the exam policy and processes to delivery credible and verifiable academic results.
Participate in academic quality and standards evaluations i.e., through academic quality and standards committee and ensure continuous improvement is achieved. (Ensure implementation of recommendations)
Responsible for accuracy, safety and accessibility of student records: Transcripts, Certificates, Portfolio of Evidence, files as per requirements.
Approve students admitted in the faculty of CHS as per the required admission criteria.
Drive achievement of high performance through employee engagement (recruitment, orientation, induction, discipline) performance management and employee development (training , coaching and mentorship), to deliver organization objectives and goals.
Any other duty as assigned by the supervisor in line with the job description.
Qualifications:
BSc. In Nursing with a minimum of Seven (7) years teaching experience with at-least three (3) in a supervisory position.
Msc. Medical education will be and added advantage. Expertise in Curricula development ,Implementation and Review.
