House Matron – Senior School at St Andrew’s School

The School comprises two semi-autonomous Schools for pupils between the ages of 3 – 13 in the Preparatory School and 13-18 in the Senior School.
The House Matron is a senior school appointment and will support the House Parents (HP) and the Senior Matron in the provision of pastoral care to the students and in the day to day management of the House.

Main Responsibilities

1. Providing Pastoral care to the students of the particular boarding house
2. Ensuring that the boarding house is maintained in excellent condition
3. Supervising students during free time in the boarding house during the day and at weekends.
4. Liaising with the Medical Centre staff to ensure communication of relevant medical and pastoral concerns raised in the Medical Centre regarding students from their house
5. Overseeing the Dhobi system for the boarding house, ensuring that students are regularly having clothes washed and that the system is working effectively.
