Role Description

• The Human Resource Officer will be responsible for managing day-to-day HR operations and supporting the full employee lifecycle in an on-site role based in Nairobi County, Kenya. In this full-time position, responsibilities include implementing HR policies and procedures, maintaining employee records, coordinating recruitment and onboarding, and assisting with job description development.
• The role also involves handling employee relations matters, supporting performance management processes, and ensuring compliance with labor laws and company standards.
• The Human Resource Officer will collaborate with management and team leaders to promote a positive work environment and effective communication across the organization.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong Human Resources (HR) and HR Management skills, including experience with core HR functions and HR administration.
• Candidates should possess knowledge of HR Policies and the ability to develop, implement, and update HR procedures and guidelines.
• Candidates should possess Employee Relations skills, including conflict resolution, engagement initiatives, and supporting a respectful workplace.
• Candidates should possess Job Description Development skills, including defining roles, responsibilities, and requirements for various positions.
• Relevant qualifications such as a diploma or bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams.
• Organizational and time-management skills, with attention to detail and confidentiality in handling HR information.
• Knowledge of Kenyan labor laws and HR best practices; prior experience in a commercial or retail environment is an added advantage.
