Hydrographer II - 4 Posts at Public Service Commission Kenya (PSCK)

For appointment to this grade, 

a candidate must have a Bachelors degree in any   of the following disciplines:- Geomatics Engineering and Geospatial Information Systems, Hydrographic Survey or equivalent qualification from a university recognized in Kenya.

Duties and Responsibilities
This is the entry and training grade for this cadre. An officer at his level will work under the guidance and supervision of a senior officer. Duties and responsibilities will include:-

• Carrying out single beam echo sounding and sextant measurements;
• Computing data for secondary ports approaches;
• Conducting horizontal control surveys;
• Undertaking coastal lining surveys, tidal zoning, tidal readings; and
• Measuring water temperature and salinity
