About the ICT Internship Program
The Camara Education Kenya ICT Internship Programme is a three-month, hands-on training designed to equip participants with practical ICT skills in a real-world work environment. Trainees are based at our Mombasa Hub (Nyali Bridge) for daily instruction and, whenever feasible, join planned fieldwork in partner schools.
Participants acquire and practise the following competencies: lab network setup and configuration, web and app development, including programming fundamentals, software installation, administration and configuration, PC and laptop repair and maintenance, and emerging digital skills relevant to today's ICT landscape, among others. Further, through our partnership with AJIRA Digital, participants also receive specialised training on online work opportunities and digital entrepreneurship.
Trainees leave with a strong competitive edge in the job market and clear pathways to self-employment. Since the programme's launch in 2015, more than 600 participants have completed their training, with some joining Camara Kenya's technical team.
Who Should Apply:
The programme is ideal for students in universities, colleges, and TVETs seeking industrial placements. Out-of-school youth and recent graduates who wish to sharpen their ICT skills are also eligible.
Key Details:
Please note: Camara Education Kenya does not provide stipends, salaries, accommodation, transport, or meals. Candidates from all parts of Kenya are encouraged to apply.
