Main purpose of the job

• The holder of this position will ensure that the client and Firm’s expectations are met by delivering high-quality services and maintaining high utilization levels.

What you will do

• Deliver tax compliance, controversy, and advisory engagements end-to-end with minimal supervision.
• Hold entry and exit tax briefings for staff on mobility.
• Lead and oversee teams delivering tax compliance, advisory, and tax controversy engagements.
• Manage client relationships and ensure client needs are met.
• Train and mentor team members on the job and through formal sessions when required.
• Produce high-quality deliverables such as tax computations, advisories and tax dispute objections and appeals.
• Manage Global Advantage platforms for clients on their portfolio.
• Identify and pursue business development opportunities.
• Support managers in planning and delivering assignments.
• Support on collection of debtors and preparation of time costs for time-based engagements.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3-4 years’ experience in a client-facing role handling payroll taxes, tax controversy, and payroll-related tax advisory.
• A Bachelor’s degree in business/commerce, Economics or other relevant field.
• Professional accounting qualification (CPA/ACCA) – ongoing or completed.
• A good understanding and appreciation of the employment tax and immigration landscape in Kenya.
