Inks Technician at Ramco Group

The Ink Technician is responsible for the efficient management of inks used in the printing process, ensuring accurate mixing, availability, and adherence to specifications and quality standards. Additionally, this role involves maintaining a clean and organized work area, accurate record-keeping, and performing tasks assigned by the management.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES (Key Result Areas)

Ink Dispensing and Stirrer Machines:

• Ensure cleanliness of ink dispensing and stirrer machines as per the defined schedule.
• Perform regular cleaning maintenance to optimize the performance of equipment.

Ink Mixing:

• Accurately mix inks according to specifications, ensuring color consistency and quality standards.
• Conduct regular checks to validate the accuracy of the ink mixing process.
• Minimize the stock level spot colours, dilutes.
• FIFO stock system must follow and ensuring no dead stock.

Ink Availability:

• Ensure the availability of inks, solvents at specified locations according to the production plan.
• Coordinate with relevant departments to manage ink inventory efficiently.

Adherence to Specifications:

• Strictly adhere to specifications, work orders, and quality standards in the ink preparation process.
• Fully understand and follow the Printing Work instructions.

Cleanliness and Organization:

• Maintain a clean and organized work area in the ink dispensing and mixing section.
• Follow cleanliness schedules and contribute to a safe working environment.

Record Keeping:

• Maintain accurate records and activity logs related to ink mixing, usage, and inventory.
• Provide timely and detailed reports as required by the management.

Others:

• Undertake any additional tasks assigned by the management as necessary to support overall operational efficiency.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• Diploma in chemical engineering or 5+ experience in same role
• Understanding of production procedures/Knowledge of different printing method.
• Basic analytical skills
• Attention to detail
• Teamwork and communication skills
• Physical stamina and strength
• Adherence to health and safety regulations (e.g. constant use of protective gear)
