    Inventory Controller

    Specification

    • Coordinate with Head of Supply Chain and implement efficient Inventory management and better control process to optimize Inventory and minimize obsolescence.
    • Coordinating with procurement on purchase requests for materials/items that need to be replenished as well as materials/items that should be procured through framework contracts
    • Coordinating with stores on stock counts and replenishment settings for materials/items in inventory
    • Focus area Coated Steel: Coordinating with maintenance, operations on future consumption of materials/items, including preparing for overhauls and understanding historical consumption trends
    • Focus area Building Solutions: Coordinating with sales on future consumption of materials/items, including preparing for promotions and phase-outs and understanding historical consumption trends
    • Coordinating with IT/SAP team on matters relating to data required to run inventory control optimisation software.
    • Detailed Inventory analysis to improve working capital management and Days on Hand Inventory for sales.
    • Monitor the inventory of SKU’s and advise the Head of Supply Chain on required changes to SKU master data (safety stock, reorder point levels, reorder quantities) aimed at balancing inventory levels with expected service levels for each category, using inventory optimisation software (excel, SAP or other specialised software)
    • Inventory analysis and optimisation – Inventory Ageing, DOH Analysis, Cycle Count findings.
    • Analyse inventories to determine how to increase inventory turns or optimize Days on Hand Inventory (DOH) for Sale.
    • Better Inventory control by identifying and review the non-moving Inventory lying at warehouses and sharing the data on monthly basis for the utilization plan.
    • Inventory management and control by applying various Inventory management principles and reconcile safety stock policy based on end customer demand segmentation i.e. based on Sales Velocity & Volume.
    • Focused approach on Inventory Management & Control by performing cycle count, ABC analysis, reconcile Safety Stock etc.
    • Reduce Slow-moving & Obsolete Stock: controlling ageing & implementing liquidation plan to minimize Inventory.
    • Keep the inventory control optimisation software active and up to date by liaising with IT/SAP team and software vendors
    • Master data management – Managing inventory safety stocks, EOQs, lead times settings
    • Reporting on inventory KPI’s and leading initiatives to improve inventory performance and reduce cost and/or increase availability, which include initiatives in stores, operations and maintenance departments
    • Work out spare parts requirement plans together with maintenance department, in order to make sure the right quantity and type of SKU’s are available at the right moment
    • Work out supply plans for new traded item introductions in order to make sure availability reaches target levels
    • Assisting in updating and improving master data of SKU’s (descriptions, vendor information, stocking parameters)
    • Support other Safal group companies in their inventory optimisation if called upon by the Head of Supply Chain.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain.
    • Certified courses in Supply Chain.
    • Member of IIMM / IFPSM / CIPS / APICS body.
    • Work experience of 3 years in similar role with 5+ years in ERP based Supply Chain
    • Preferred industry – Manufacturing, FMCG
