Junior Accountant (Restaurant Industry) at Nexus Staffing Solutions

About the Role:
Our client, a fast-growing restaurant located in Village Market, Nairobi, is seeking a Junior Accountant with a strong background in financial management and reporting. The successful candidate will ensure accurate bookkeeping, cash flow tracking, and performance reporting to support business operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Record and reconcile sales from multiple outlets and delivery platforms (Uber Eats, Glovo, in-store, website) using QuickBooks.
• Track and categorize income and expenses by channel and outlet.
• Manage delayed payments from third-party aggregators.
• Oversee petty cash, supplier, and bank reconciliations.
• Prepare monthly profit & loss statements, cash flow forecasts, and management reports.
• Monitor food cost and assist in budgeting and payroll allocations.
• Maintain financial records and support internal audits.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• CPA Section 3 or higher preferred.
• Minimum 2 years’ accounting experience, ideally in the hospitality sector.
• Proficient in QuickBooks and MS Excel.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication, attention to detail, and organizational abilities.
