    Laboratory Technician

    Nairobi Women’s Hospital is a leading healthcare provider committed to offering excellent diagnostic and medical services. We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Laboratory Technician to join our Mombasa branch.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Perform routine and specialized laboratory tests accurately and timely.
    • Collect, prepare, and analyze samples following standard operating procedures.
    • Maintain laboratory equipment, ensuring regular calibration and servicing.
    • Document and report test results promptly and accurately.
    • Ensure compliance with safety and infection control protocols.
    • Monitor inventory levels and notify the Laboratory In-Charge of required supplies.
    • Assist in quality assurance and quality control activities to maintain high testing standards.
    • Handle biohazard materials safely, adhering to established protocols.
    • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to support patient care.
    • Participate in continuous professional development and training.

    Qualifications and Experience:

    • Diploma in Medical Laboratory Sciences from a recognized institution.
    • Valid practicing license from the Kenya Medical Laboratory Technicians and Technologists Board (KMLTTB).
    • At least 2 years of experience in a clinical or hospital laboratory setting.
    • Proficiency in handling laboratory equipment and diagnostic procedures.

    Key Skills:

    • Attention to detail and high accuracy in testing.
    • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
    • Good communication and interpersonal abilities.
    • Knowledge of laboratory safety protocols and practices.
