Lecturer-Midwifery & Reproductive Health Nursing - 5 Posts at Daystar University

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Earned PhD in Nursing from an accredited Univesity
• Masters in Midwifery and Reproductive health Nursing, in addition to BSc Nursing from an accredited university .
• Atleast three (3) years teaching experience at university level or in research.
• Evidence of attendance & contribution at learned conferences, seminars or workshops
• Valid Practising License from the Nursing Council of Kenya
• A minimum of 24 publication points, of which at least 16 should be from refereed journal papers
• Evidence of active participation in school/departmental activities or demonstrated leadership in university activities
• Skills Lab Management experience

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Conducting high quality research to enhance the scholarship, visibility and intellectual contribution of the University.
• Engaging in curriculum and program review and development.
• Evaluating students through continuous assessments and examinations.
• Implementing best practices in teaching, training and research for improved performance and achievements
• Implementing change intitiatives to achieve desired university strategic goals.
• Mentoring of students in academic and spiritual nurture
• Mobilizing resources and building bridges with industry.
• Supervise graduate students in their research projects and dissertations
• Teaching and training of students in line with University policies, processes and procedures.
