M&E Data Analyst at RTI International

Position Description

The Data Analyst will be responsible for developing a web-based portal for a sanitation mapping exercise to determine the existing situation of sanitation facilities. The individual in this position will additionally design the template and the data collection protocol for sanitation as well as managing a database of stakeholder information. This position reports to the R&D Lead.  

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

1. Supports the development of a web-based data portal for a sanitation mapping exercise to determine the existing situation of sanitation facilities.
2. Designs the template and the data collection protocol for sanitation as well as for menstrual hygiene management (MHM) products and services.
3. Assembles and manages a database containing details of all stakeholders in the sanitation and MHM sectors, available sanitation and MHM products and services, etc.
4. Analyze data to demonstrate trends and make recommendations
5. “Translate”/shape/visualize data to make it more accessible for decision-makers

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree and 3 years of experience, or master’s degree and 1 year of experience.
2. Demonstrated experience collecting, analyzing, and reporting on data findings
3. Computer and Internet fluency required.
4. Proficiency in English is required.
5. Work experience in Kenya required.
