Candidate profile

The job holder will require the following minimum qualifications: - 

• Degree holder in Civil/mechanical/electrical engineering from a recognized university
• 3 years experience in maintenance and project work with knowledge in the electrical works
• Project management skills
• Supervisory and management skills

Additional Information

The above-mentioned vacancy has arisen within the Maintenance & Projects Section, Operations Department. 

Reporting to the Maintenance & Projects Manager, the incumbent shall be responsible for the following:

• Monitoring of repairs and maintenance of stations installations, scheduled maintenance of all equipment and     carrying out failure investigations to ensure equipment availability.
• Carry out site inspections, site measurements and surveys and assembly of site information.
• Provide preliminary and detailed plans, layouts and designs for proposed maintenance works.
• Prepare Cost Estimates for Budgeting purposes for major maintenance works.
• Prepare Works Specifications and Bills of Quantities for tendering and/or work execution purposes.
• Tendering, selection of suppliers and contract documentation.
• Implementation of works and continuous supervision and inspections & feedback to all relevant parties.
• Safe execution of works by ensuring that Contractors adhere to company HSEQ policies, local Authority guideline & rules, statutory requirements and that works are done safely.
• Continuous supervision of maintenance works being carried out by third party contractors and evaluation of performance of the contractors.
• Post evaluation of works, commissioning and hand-over to customers.
