Job Summary

Reporting to General Manager, Geothermal Development, the job holder is responsible for the following duties and responsibilities: -

Duties and responsibilities

• Overseeing geoscientific surface exploration programs and conceptual models.
• Directing resource assessment and development activities
• Administering geophysical and geochemical monitoring of the geothermal reservoir.
• Overseeing the monitoring of steam quality and chemical treatment programs for power plants
• Responsible for Geographic Information Systems (GIS), cadastral, cartographic surveys, and related activities
• Managing the development and maintenance of Geo-databases
• Facilitating geoscientific research projects

Person Specifications

• For appointment to this grade a candidate must have: -
• Minimum relevant experience of twelve (12) years with at least five (4) years in a management role
• Master’s degree in Geology/Geochemistry/Geophysics /Physics/GIS/Geospatial Engineering or equivalent from are recognized institution
• Bachelor’s degree in Geology /Geochemistry /Geophysics /Physics/Chemistry/ Geomatics/Geospatial Engineering or equivalent from a recognized institution.
• Post graduate Diploma in Geothermal Energy Technology 
• Certification in Leadership from a recognized institution;
• Professional qualification & membership where applicable
• Fulfill the requirements of Chapter Six (6) of the Constitution
