Manager, Organisational Culture & Engagement at World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) Kenya

MISSION OF THE DEPARTMENT

• To drive the right culture and working environment in WWF Network by ensuring embedding of our agreed network core values and standards.
• To develop the right P&C standards, policies, procedures, systems and platforms in-order to attract, develop and retain the right people for the organization.
• To create the optimal working environment in which the staff are able to perform at the highest level and hence are able to maximize their contribution towards the conservation goals.

MAJOR FUNCTIONS

• Provides expertise and drives JEDI principles to ensure their development and embedding throughout the organisation.
• Manages the initiatives and activities related to WWF Values to ensure they are being lived by staff.
• Implements activities related to the Staff Engagement Survey and any other relevant Engagement initiatives
• Leads in the data collection and analysis, reporting and presentations related to the Organisational Culture & Engagement unit.
• Supports in engaging the P&C Community on various relevant topics in relation to organisational culture and engagement.
• Supports the Director, Organisational Culture & Engagement with coordination and preparation of communication, presentations and reports related to the unit

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Justice, Equity, Diversity & Inclusion (JEDI)

• Engages with other departments and teams within the organisation to review JEDI principles embedded in existing policies with the aim to have a holistic view of the topic.
• Works with JEDI taskforce/committee/working group to leverage expertise and ensure alignment of framework and policy.
• Leads the development of a JEDI framework and policy outlining goals, strategies, and measurable objectives.
• Manages any external partners/consultants brought on board to assist with the JEDI policies.
• Provides expertise advise and training on all JEDI topics to the organisation
• Works with all relevant stakeholders including senior leadership, Department heads, P&C Community e.t.c. to ensure JEDI principles are embedded in all processes.
• Defines relevant JEDI metrics to be collected, analyzed, interpreted and reported.

Values

• Develops initiatives and activities to further embed the existing organisational values.
• Delivers relevant trainings, coaching etc.. on organisation values to ensure staff are equipped to understand, internalize, connect and uphold them.
• Works directly with P&C Heads to ensure that the Value in Action (behaviours) are embedded in all people processes, policies and tools.

Engagement

• Cascades, distributes and provides clarity in relation to the results of Staff Engagement Survey (SES) to the relevant P&C focal points.
• Assists P&C focal points to develop and document Follow up plans emanating from the Staff Engagement Survey
• Closely monitors the implementation of the SES follow-up plan at a Global, Regional and Country level.
• Develops and administers pulse surveys to monitor progress of engagement topics.
• Develops and implements other engagement activities for WWF International through the relevant P&C focal points and counterparts.

Data Analysis, Reporting and Presentations

• Prepares presentations and any communication material related to projects and the Organisational Culture & Engagement unit.
• Collects data, analyses and interprets results for JEDI metrics.
• Develops reports, dashboards and relevant data presentations pertaining to the unit.

P&C Community

• Monitors community events and developing a calendar of events to promote awareness and consistency of P&C initiatives and key projects.
• Develops and implements programs to educate members of the community about topics related to relevant P&C topics.

PROFILE

Required Qualifications.

• Bachelor’s degree in any relevant field
• 6-8 years experience working in P&C specifically in Culture, Engagement, JEDI or other related area

• Data driven with ability to create clear management information.
• Analytical with excellent attention to detail and good Excel skills.
• Fluent English, other languages advantageous
• Interest in conservation and WWF's work.
