Managing Director – Makueni Rural Water Board (Maruwab) at Makueni County Public Service Board

The Managing Director will be responsible for providing strategic leadership to Makueni Rural Water Board (MARUWAB), positioning it for rapid growth and leading cultural transformation. The person appointed shall head the management team and shall oversee the board's day-to-day functions and operations. (S)He will ensure implementation of the Boards' decisions as well as establish long term goals, strategies, plans and policies that are aimed at improving performance, service delivery, attaining growth and improving operational efficiencу.

Requirements for appointment;

For appointment to this grade, an officer must have:

• Be a Kenyan citizen;
• A Bachelor's degree from a recognized university in Engineering (Civil or Water) or Finance or Economics, or Business Management, Environmental science or other Social Sciences;
• A Master's degree or higher qualification will be an added advantage;
• Experience in management of public/private entities for a period of not less than five (5) years;
• Attended and successfully completed a management course lasting not less than four (4) weeks from a recognized institution;
• Meet the requirements of leadership and integrity in chapter six of the constitution of Kenya, 2010;
• Be registered with the relevant professional body and be a member in good standing (where applicable);
• Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills with highly demonstrable competencies in strategy formulation and implementation, building shared vision and managing people in a multi-cultural environment.
