    Maternal Newborn Health (MNH) Project Officer

    Key Responsibilities

    • Plan and conduct capacity building training for health workers in Kajiado County
    • Communicate with Kajiado County and other stakeholders to facilitate and improve continuity of the project
    • Document and report on the outcome of the capacity building training
    • Support other team members
    • Regular field visits to health facilities and communities for follow up purposes
    • Regularly monitor and supervise operations of project activities
    • Develop and prepare the report on regular monitoring regarding the operation of project activities
    • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor

    Required skills & Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in one of the behavioral sciences or related fields including but not limited to social work and psychology from an accredited college or university
    • At least 2 years working experience in related field
    • Experience in research methods and conducting filed based assessments
    • Experience in project management is preferred
    • Experience in providing care in multicultural practice setting is preferred
    • Proficient in use of computer hardware and software to document clinical care, and in use of Microsoft office applications
    • Knowledge of assessment, planning, implementation and standards for care/treatment plan development
