    Media Production Coordinator

    Position Summary

    • The Media Production Coordinator is an execution-focused and highly organized professional responsible for supporting the planning, coordination, and delivery of audio-visual and digital media productions that advance AWF’s brand, communications, and fundraising objectives.
    • Working as part of the Brand and Public Engagement team and in close collaboration with the Strategic Communications and Marketing, Creative and Web, Fundraising, Partnerships, and Country Programs teams, the Production Coordinator plays a critical role in ensuring that media productions are delivered efficiently, on time, and in line with AWF’s brand and quality standards.
    • The role supports end-to-end production workflows, with a particular emphasis on pre-production coordination, vendor and workflow management, short-form digital editing, and production logistics. The Media Production Coordinator helps expand the reach and impact of AWF’s storytelling by adapting long-form content into platform-appropriate short-form content for digital and social media channels.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Support end-to-end audio-visual production processes, including pre-production planning, scheduling, coordination, post-production workflows, and delivery, ensuring productions are executed efficiently and in alignment with agreed timelines and quality standards.
    • Assist the Manager, Media Production, in coordinating film, photography, and live event productions that support AWF’s strategic communications, fundraising campaigns, donor deliverables, website content, and social media channels.
    • Coordinate pre-production logistics, including production schedules, documentation, permits where required, and internal alignment with Strategic Communications and Marketing, Creative and Web, Fundraising, and Program teams.
    • Support coordination with Field Communications and Country Program teams to facilitate story development, interviews, and field-based content gathering, working closely with internal stakeholders and external production partners.
    • Provide workflow and administrative support for external photographers, videographers, editors, and production vendors, including deliverable tracking, review cycles, and coordination of feedback.
    • Edit and repurpose long-form video content into short-form formats for digital and social media platforms, including vertical and platform-native formats (e.g., Reels, Shorts, TikTok), thereby extending the lifecycle and reach of major productions.
    • Support live and hybrid event production activities by assisting with production scheduling, vendor coordination, run-of-show documentation, and post-event content delivery.
    • Assist with maintenance of AWF’s media and story asset bank, ensuring content is properly tagged, archived, and accessible through digital asset management systems.
    • Support equipment inventory documentation and basic asset tracking in coordination with the Manager, Media Production.
    • Collaborate closely with Strategic Communications & Marketing, Creative & Web teams to ensure media outputs are aligned with campaign objectives, digital strategies, and brand guidelines.
    • Contribute to continuous improvement of production workflows, tools, and processes, supporting efficiency, consistency, and quality across AWF’s media outputs.
    • Support basic monitoring and documentation of audio-visual deliverables, including tracking outputs and assisting with reporting on reach, engagement, and production effectiveness.

      Key Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Film Production, Media Production, Communications, or a related field.
    • 3+ years of relevant experience in media production, production coordination, or associate producer roles.
    • Demonstrated experience supporting a range of audio-visual productions, including short-form and long-form video content, social media outputs, and event-related media.
    •  Proven video editing skills, including experience adapting content for digital and social media platforms.
    • Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud tools, particularly Premiere Pro and After Effects, or equivalent editing software.
    • Strong pre-production and coordination skills, including scheduling, documentation, and workflow management.
    • Experience working with external production vendors and creative teams.
    • Familiarity with digital asset management systems and production file organization.
    • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
    • Professionalism in managing timelines, deliverables, and production workflows.
    • Interest in, or experience with, storytelling related to conservation, communities, or development contexts is an advantage.
    • Previous experience working with multi-cultural teams is a strong advantage.
