Medical Research Officer at Med-Lab Diagnostics Center

Duties and responsibilities

• Sample collection and processing
• Assist in running of laboratory assays for the project Lab Results processing and reporting
• Field Data collection and management
• Assist in other tasks to support the project as required. Provide administrative assistance.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Biological sciences, Analytical Chemistry, Biotechnology, Clinical Medicine, Nutrition and Dietetics, Food Technology, Public Health, Statistics, Mathematics, Biostatistics, Epidemiology, or Applied Sciences from a recognized institution
• A Master’s Degree is an added advantage
• Valid License from Kenya Medical Laboratory Technicians Technologist Board. (KMLTTB)
• Proficiency with molecular laboratory equipment with recent attachment in a parasitology/molecular biology laboratory;
• Familiarity with molecular biology techniques; DNA extraction, PCR and Qpcr
• Knowledgeable in Sequencing and Sequencing data analysis; Accuracy and close attention to detail; and
• Strong analytical and organization skills.
