Mobile Repair Technician at Badili Africa

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Mobile Repair Technician with a minimum of 2 years of experience (or relevant internship experience) to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of mobile devices, including smartphones and tablets. The role requires a strong understanding of mobile device hardware and software, attention to detail, and the ability to deliver high-quality repair services efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with mobile devices, including hardware, software, and network-related problems.
• Perform repairs on mobile devices, including screen replacements, battery changes, camera repairs, and other component-level fixes.
• Test devices to ensure that repairs are successful and that the devices are fully functional.
• Keep up to date with the latest mobile device technology, repair techniques, and tools.
• Maintain an organized and clean workspace to ensure efficient workflow and safety.
• Provide excellent customer service, including clear communication about repair timelines and costs.
• Accurately document repair processes and maintain records of parts used and services provided.
• Assist with inventory management, including ordering and stocking replacement parts and tools.
• Offer technical support and guidance to customers regarding the proper use and maintenance of their devices.

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience in mobile device repair or completion of a relevant internship program.
• Strong technical knowledge of mobile device hardware and software across various brands (e.g., Samsung, Techno, Redmi, Oppo Huawei, etc.).
• Proficiency in using diagnostic tools, repair equipment, and software.
• Attention to detail and precision in executing repairs.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to handle multiple repair tasks and manage time effectively.
• Knowledge of safety procedures and best practices in electronics repair.

Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent. A technical certification in mobile repair or a related field is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with advanced repairs such as motherboard soldering or data recovery.
• Familiarity with common software issues, including operating system errors and app-related problems.
• Previous experience in a customer-facing role.

Working Conditions:

• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• May require occasional travel to customer locations for on-site repairs.
• Ability to lift and handle equipment and devices as needed.
