Water & Sewerage Officer (Re-Advertisement) at Moi University

Duties and Responsibilities 
An officer at this level will be responsible for:

• being in charge of operation and maintenance of the University water supply;
• overseeing the operations and maintenance of the University Water Supply and Sewerage Systems;
• supervision of minor water supply and/or sewerage extension as designed by the Engineer; 
• work out construction cost estimates for minor works;
• undertaking training needs for the Department; and
• any other responsibilities as may be assigned from time to time.

Requirements for direct appointment 
For appointment to this grade, a candidate must: 

• have Higher National Diploma in Water Engineering or its equivalent;
• have seven (7) years relevant working experience; and
• have demonstrated merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results.

Requirements for Serving Officers
For promotion to this grade, an officer must:

• have Higher National Diploma in Water Engineering or its equivalent; 
• have served as Water Technician I or Sewerage Technician I Grade 7/8 (VII/VIII) for at least three (3) years; and
• have shown merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results.
