    Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) Officer (6-month Consultancy Contract)

    Job Purpose:

    The M&E Officer will lead the design, coordination, and implementation of the monitoring and evaluation framework for programs and projects. The role ensures that performance data is collected, analyzed, and used for learning and reporting, and to improve program quality and effectiveness.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Develop and implement M&E plans, indicators, and frameworks for projects.
    • Monitor project activities and outputs to ensure alignment with goals and timelines.
    • Conduct data collection, verification, and analysis for reporting and learning.
    • Prepare periodic M&E reports and present findings to stakeholders.
    • Facilitate learning and reflection sessions based on evaluation outcomes.
    • Ensure compliance with donor and institutional reporting requirements.

    Qualifications and Experience:

    • Master’s degree in Monitoring & Evaluation, Development Studies, Statistics, or a related field.
    • At least three (3) years of experience in M&E roles within development, research, or academic settings.
    • Knowledge of M&E methodologies, tools, and practices.
    • Experience with data analysis tools and report writing.
    • Strong organizational, analytical and communication skills.
    • Able to work effectively under pressure while maintaining positive relationships with staff, students, and the wider community.
    • A committed born-again evangelical Christian.
