Network Engineer at Nation Media Group PLC

The Network Engineer will work with a team of various IT specialists to provide solutions around infrastructure, information systems security and to provide technical support services. The role reports to the IT Manager.

The successful applicant should have experience in the following areas: -

• Administration, Configuration, Monitoring and Supporting Network Active devices, Security appliances and solutions, Telecommunication services (IPT and PABX), networks (LAN & WAN), in a large Enterprise network;
• Monitoring and managing of core infrastructure equipment such as Power Systems, UPS, Generators and Air Conditioning;
• Implementing projects in the above areas.
• Provide technical support to customers
• Configuring and troubleshooting Active Directory, DNS, HDHCP services
• Working with 3rd party infrastructure service providers and vendors;
• Administration and configuration of internet routing protocols i.e. BGP, EIGRP among other

Knowledge & Skills requirements:

• University Degree in Information Technology/Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• 3 - 4 years working experience
• Proof of CCNE Certification
• Proof of CCNP Certification
• Experience in managing security solutions such as endpoint protection, firewall, IDS, IPS
• Experience in Service Desk will be an added advantage
