Job Description/Requirements

Key Responsibilities 

• Must be profoundly articulate in Gusii, English and Kiswahili languages.
• Must have normal breath interval when presenting or carrying out interviews.
• The incumbent must have normal talking speed so that the audience can understand him/her.
• Must possess good voice projection when anchoring or doing interviews.
• Must possess good research, interviewing and reporting skills.
• High integrity, good interpersonal skills and able to work in a team setting. 
• Must have a good understanding of media law and ethics.
• Should be able to quickly translate between Gusii, English and Kiswahili while on air.
• Must be camera-ready and at ease in front of a camera or studio setting.

Minimum Qualifications 

• University degree in Mass Communication or a relevant field from a recognized institution.
• At least two 1-2 years of relevant experience working as a news anchor or reporter.
