    Nurse

    We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our team.

    LOCATION: BUSIA

    Overall Responsibility

    To provide high-quality, patient-centered nursing care, ensuring the safety, well-being, and comfort of patients while supporting the clinical team in delivering evidence-based healthcare services.

    Key Responsibilities:

    1. Assess, monitor, and document patients’ physical and mental health status.
    2. Administer medications, injections, and other prescribed treatments accurately.
    3. Assist in the development and implementation of individualized patient care plans.
    4. Provide wound care, dressing changes, and other nursing procedures as required.
    5. Monitor vital signs and report significant changes to the attending physician.
    6. Educate patients and families on disease prevention, health promotion, and post-treatment care.
    7. Support patient mobility and rehabilitation activities, including physiotherapy follow-up.
    8. Ensure infection prevention and control standards are strictly followed.
    9. Maintain accurate, up-to-date nursing and patient records in accordance with professional standards.
    10. Supervise and mentor junior nursing staff, interns, and students where applicable.
    11. Participate in continuous professional development, clinical audits, and quality improvement initiatives.
    12. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure integrated patient care.
    13. Respond effectively to emergencies, including resuscitation and first aid procedures.
    14. Participate in community health and wellness programs, outreach, and patient advocacy activities.

    Requirements

    1. Diploma/Degree in Nursing from a recognized institution.
    2. Valid license from the Nursing Council of Kenya.
    3. Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience.
    4. Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
    5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    6. Ability to work under pressure and adapt to fast-paced healthcare environments.
    7. Commitment to ethical standards and patient confidentiality.
