Chogoria hospital is on a side-road which branches off Embu - Meru highway about 2km from the highway. Chogoria hospital was built in a serene environment around 200km north of Nairobi city. It is situated within the fast growing Chogoria township in Mwimbi division, Maara district in Tharaka - Nithi county.

    Nurse Tutors

    Position requirements: -

    1. Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing.
    2. Must possess training in Medical/Nursing Education.
    3. A Masters Degree in Nursing will be an added advantage.
    4. Registered with Nursing Council of Kenya.
    5. At least 2 years experience as a Nurse Tutor.

    Dutiesand responsibilities:

    1. Responsible for planning and implementation of teaching programmes in the training curriculum.
    2. Overall supervision of clinical teaching programme subjects in hospital/community health setting.
    3. Demonstrate and teach patient care in a classroom and clinical units to nursing students.
    4. Prepare and deliver lectures to students on nursing care practices.
    5. Prepare course materials such as syllabus, assignments and handouts.
    6. Conduct theory and practical tests and evaluation of students assignments and performance.
    7. Maintain classroom equipment, supplies and teaching aids,
    8. Assist in the administration of the School of Nursing,
    9. Shall carry out any other duties assigned by the Principal School of Nursing.
