    Oracle DBA - Mid Level

    Responsibilities Include

    • Database administration: Installing, configuring and maintaining Oracle databases, ensuring their performance, security and availability.
    • Backup and Recovery: Developing, implementing and testing backup and recovery strategies to ensure data protection.
    • Performance Tuning: Monitoring and optimizing database performance, using tools such as SQL tuning and database management tools.
    • Security Management: Implementing and maintaining database security, including creating and managing users, roles, and permissions.
    • Database Maintenance: Applying patches and upgrades, performing database migrations and maintaining database documentation.
    • Troubleshooting: Identifying and resolving database issues in a timely manner.
    • Capacity Planning: Planning and managing database resources, including disk space, memory and CPU utilization.
    • Collaboration: Working closely with development teams to ensure that database design and administration supports application requirements.

    Requirements

    • A bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering or a related field.
    • 3+ years of experience as an Oracle DBA.
    • Strong knowledge of Oracle database administration, backup and recovery, performance tuning and security management.
    • Experience with SQL and PL/SQL programming.
    • Familiarity with Unix/Linux operating systems.
    • Good verbal and written communication skills.
