Responsibilities

Successful applicants will join a growing and dynamic department committed to advancing best practice in their discipline, expanding services that meet quality and patient service needs within an internationally accredited university hospital with outstanding diagnostic services. Successful applicants will develop their academic career in teaching and research. In education there is a focus on resident training and fellowship programmes training and planned introduction of undergraduate training.

Requirements

• Applicants must have Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery(M.B.Ch.B) or equivalent 
• S/he must be registered or eligible for registration with Kenya Medical Practitioners’ & Dentists Board
• S/he should demonstrate competency and dexterity with all equipment utilized in the hospital environment 
• S/he should implement and monitor educational programs to ensure that the programs outcomes are attained
• S/he should oversee the development of residents/interns and ensure that rotations and formative assessments of residents/ interns are well organized
• S/he should participate in scholarly activity including educational and clinical research
• S/he should provide clinical services in area of specialty and ensure good patient outcomes, establishment of clinical team of residents/interns
