Part-Time Tutor Basic Cooking Skills, Baking, Crocheting and Knitting at RefuSHE

POSITION SUMMARY

• The purpose of the Part-Time Tutor Basic cooking skills, Baking, Crocheting and Knittingis teaching participants introductory lessons on cake and pastries, and various food recipes that can easily be converted to an income-generating activity. The Tutor will be expected to teach 2 days a week for a period not exceeding 6 months.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Instruct students in the basics of crocheting and knitting, helping them complete various projects.
• Provide regular updates on participants' progress and report any concerns related to their safety and well-being immediately.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum certificate training in vocational training in the areas highlighted above. (Includes short courses, workshops, apprenticeships)

RELATED EXPERIENCE/ QUALIFICATION

• 1 year experience in a similar teaching role.
• More than 1-year practical experience will be considered in lieu of certification.
• Candidates should have experience working with children and young people, preferably in a teaching or tutoring capacity
• A strong commitment to child protection and upholding participants' dignity is essential.
• The ability to develop and follow lesson plans.
