    Parts Associate

    Overview

    • Designed, engineered, and built in Kenya, Mobius Motors sells highly durable, highly affordable vehicles for Africa’s mass market. Versatile, rugged, and durable, it is designed for African cities whilst still being extremely capable off-road.
    • We are seeking to hire an exceptional Parts Associate interested in a truly unique entrepreneurial opportunity to create impact on a global scale as part of our Commercial Team.

    Responsibilities

    The Commercial team ensures that Mobius Motors has unmatched end-to-end customer experience that reinforces the brand and builds enduring loyalty. This encompasses the following areas:

    •  Marketing – Customer insight-driven go-to-market strategy built around high-impact brand building and efficient execution that resonates with our customers
    •  Salesforce – Optimised, strategic sales tools, performance management, and resource
    • deployment to serve our customers
    •  Network + Distribution – Scalable high-performance network executing disciplined sales and service operations to provide a high-quality, seamless customer experience and a consistent brand experience
    •  Aftersales – Market-leading service operations executed with speed, quality and customer- first commitment

    Every member of the Commercial team takes responsibility for supporting the business needs above, which may require expanding responsibilities as needed, additional learning, and tackling new professional challenges beyond what is reflected in this Job Description.

    Functional Areas Responsibilities

    Receiving

    •  Receiving: Receive parts into the Aftersales and Technical Warehouse ensuring ordered and received parts match, and that the invoice is as per the delivery note.

    Parts Sales

    •  Sales: Receive customer and workshop orders and ensure all orders are processed within the stipulated timing, accurately and with utmost customer enthusiasm in mind.
    •  Invoicing: Notify Finance of all non-warranty parts for invoicing to respective customers.

    Warehousing  

    • Labelling and Binning: Ensure all parts received are accurately labelled with part name and number as ordered and bin all received parts in their
    • respective bins (Aftersales, Technical and Production).
    • Parts & Inventory Officer 2 of 3 Mobius Motors  
    • Warehouse Operations: Adhere to the laid down warehouse operating procedures and policies as per the Mobius warehousing ICP.
    •  Health & Safety: Understand and apply all the health and safety precautions required in the warehouse.

    Inventory Management

    •  Segregation: Ensure warehouse is well organised and damaged parts are segregated and concerned persons notified of the damages.
    •  Stock Take: Participate in monthly cycle stock counts and prepare reports as required.
    •  Stock Audits: Support inventory audit as and when required.
    •  Reporting: Support with inventory report generation. This includes sales order trends, delivery note trends, stock items from various warehouses.

    Stock Movement/Control

    •  Part Movement: Ensure all parts movement is done through the system as per customer order and workshop repair orders.
    •  Dispatching: Package ordered parts securely and ensure dispatch to customer directly or to their respective representatives or courier company of choice.
    •  Warranty: Ensure all warranty and goodwill parts have their respective workshop repair orders and delivery notes.

    Aftersales Support

    •  Parts Collection: Support supply chain with collection of parts from suppliers as and when needed.
    •  Improved profitability - Increasing market share based on budget, carry out market surveys and prudent management that ensures 2-3 stock turns per year are maintained.
    •  Customer service and satisfaction - Ensure customer orders are completed on time, promptly with utmost courtesy and consideration.
    •  Administration and reports - All parts stock levels and transactions correctly recorded, know how to use the parts catalogues and manufacturer lists,
    • maintain liaison with other business departments, manufacturers, OEM's, Suppliers, and major customers.

    Academic & Professional
    Qualifications

    •  Bachelor’s Degree(minimum) in Supply Chain management
    •  Professional Qualification in Inventory Management

    Functional Knowledge & Skills  

    • Proficiency in Excel, Power Point and Word Sufficient know how in automotive field
    •  2 years related experience in stores and stores management

    General

    • Exceptional attention to detail and high quality deliverable outputs
    •  Ability to grasp complex concepts and systems quickly, and express them in simple ways
    •  Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and to remain graceful under pressure
    •  Ability to take ownership and accountability of project timeline and results
    •  Strong presentations skills, including excellent oral communication skills
    •  High sense of drive and urgency in achieving our vision
    •  Ability to adapt to a dynamic working environment and work within a diverse team
    •  Extreme patience and a good sense of humour
    •  Excellent interpersonal skills to work effectively with others
    •  A start-up personality; entrepreneurial, ambitious, independent, systematic attention to detail, structured thinker, goal-oriented, flexible and able to deal well with setbacks
    •  Passion for the automotive industry and social enterprise in Africa
    •  Valid driver's license class BCE
