The Role
St Andrew’s Prep School is seeking to appoint a Pastoral Matron who will assist the house parents in ensuring the welfare of the pupils within the boarding house teams and act as a model in all areas to pupils within the boarding house. Reporting to the House parent in the respective boarding house, the Pasto-ral Matron will be expected to take care of pupils, with particular respon-sibility for their health, mental, emotionally and general well-being. They will also be responsible for the supervision of cleanliness and organisation in the dorm. They will be expected to liaise with the House parents in mat-ters related to health and safety.

There are some things that are essential to working with us. The successful candi-date will need to be able to support the School's aims and Christian ethos. They will have to have attained a certificate in their high school education or its equiv-alentcoupledwithoneyearexperienceasaMatroninaboardingschool.Thesuc-cessful candidate will be expected to have a good command of the English lan-guage both spoken and written. Beyond that we want to have staff who love working as part of a team; who are first-class communicators and who are passionate about the subjects and pupils they teach; who are creative and diligent in their planning; who are adaptable, energetic and resilient. Experience of working in a School environment, or in boarding, for a period of one year would be desirable, Above all, what matters is a commitment to help us pro-vide a world-class education for our children
