Role Summary

• The Patient Attendants will be responsible for assisting patients with daily personal care needs, supporting clinical staff, and ensuring a clean, safe, and dignified environment for patient recovery and wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist patients with hygiene, feeding, mobility, and other daily care activities.
• Provide emotional support and reassurance to patients under supervision.
• Ensure patients are clean, comfortable, and treated with dignity at all times.
• Help transport patients within the hospital for therapy, tests, or discharge.
• Maintain cleanliness and tidiness in patient care areas.
• Report any changes in patient condition or behavior to nursing staff.
• Support hospital protocols for infection control and safety.
• Work closely with nurses and clinicians to provide holistic patient care.

Requirements

• Certificate in Health Support Services, Home Care, Nursing Aide, or a related field.
• At least 1 year of experience in a hospital, mental health facility, or caregiving setting.
• Basic knowledge of patient hygiene and care procedures.
• Compassionate, patient, and emotionally resilient.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work in a team.
• Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and under minimal supervision.
