    Patient Navigator

    A KEMRI-CCR Clinical Trials Research Project based in Thika is currently conducting a clinical trial and is looking for motivated individuals to fill in the following positions:  

    No of positions: 2

    Reports to:  Study coordinator
     
    Job Purpose:  To assist clients navigate through public health facilities including the Comprehensive Care Center.
     
    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Organize and guide clients through the various service points 
    • Identify and resolve physical barriers to access of PrEP
    • Assist the facility staff in scheduling and tracking follow up of clients on PrEP
    • Liaise with the health facility staff to ensure project activities are conducted as scheduled
    • Provide project management team with regular feedback on field activities
    • Other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned.

    Education and experience qualifications  

    • College diploma in Counselling, Social Work or any other related field
    • Experience offering HIV Testing Services, including HIV self-testing will be an added advantage
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
    • Excellent organizational skills 
    • Good interpersonal skills  

    Terms of Employment

    Employment is on a one year renewable contract with a probation period for the first 3 months. Salary is negotiable within the appropriate grade depending on education, experience and demonstrated competency
