Pharmacy Cashier at Tenwek Hospital

• Reporting to the Accountant, the Pharmacy Cashier coordinate customer’s transactions accurately and efficiently to ensure smooth and efficient transactions.

Key Responsibilities

• Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently using cash registers or point-of-sale (POS) systems.
• Accept cash, credit, and debit payments and provide accurate change to customers.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including the cash register area and surrounding areas.
• Be able to demonstrate proficiency in all  Cashier duties including “work flow”.
• Provide friendly and helpful customer service, including answering questions and resolving customer concerns.
• Assist with stocking shelves, organizing merchandise, and maintaining inventory levels as needed.
• Follow company policies and procedures regarding cash handling, refunds, and returns.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure a positive experience for customers.
• Stay up to date on pharmacy/drugs knowledge and promotions to effectively assist customers.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

• Minimum of CPA 1, Diploma or equivalent.
• At least 2 years experience in the same or similar role
• Have basic knowledge of the functions of Pharmacy computer system
